The statue stands on a pedestal in front of a large tree.

Hades, a robe tied at his waist and flowing over one thigh, stands, one leg forward, holding Persephone in his arms.  His right arm extends over her thighs while his left arm reaches behind her and around her waist.

Persephone is naked, except for a robe thrown over her right shoulder.  Her right arm is extended upward in supplication.  Her left hand grasps Hades hair.  Her head extends backward, mouth open, pleaing for help.
