In the foreground of the picture are the ruins of stone steps and columns to some ancient building.  In the immediate background is a large structure.  The walls are built of mortared stones.  There are several small arched windows and a cupola with a domed roof.  A tall cedar stands beside the building.  In the far background are several modern one and two story white buildings.
