The Norse God Odin being devoured by the wolf Fenrir

The image is a raided relief figure on stone.  At the bottom of the image is a coil on which the figures stand.

To the left is odin.  He is barefoot wearing only a pair of pants. In his right hand he holds an axe.  In his left he holds a thick chain which encircles Fenrir's neck.  Odins's face is round, with a thick mustache, round, protruding eyes, and a head of culy hair.

On the right, facing Odin, is Fenrir.  He sits on his hind quarters.  His legs end in long, curving claws. His ears are laid back, and from his toothy jaw, his tongue extends to lick Odin's face.  The image of the wolf almost looks like it has the head of a large bird, the muzzle looking more like a toothed beak and the ears laid back on his head like a feathered plume.
