Great Lyre from the 'Kings Grave' at Ur. Courtesy University of PA, Photo by Patricia Aakhu This picture shows the rear of the figure. On top is the back of the golden horned bull's head with the stylized beard similar to those seen in pictures of Mesopotamian rulers, looking like a fabric of parallel coils. Only a small part of the back of the bull's head shows, which is black stone. The box on which the head sits contains stylized drawings. The uppermost shows workers in the field. The next image shows to lionesses walking on their hind legs. One carries a cage, the other a vase. The third box shows a bull shepherding sheep. The bottomw box shows a man and a woman, and animal at their feet. The detail in this image is not very clear.
