In the foreground, a naked Ishtar rides on a cloud, her hand resting on the throne behind her, facing Tammuz on his throne.  Her hair is long, covering her torso.  

Beside her, mounted, is a bearded man holding a censer in his right hand.  His face is turned toward Ishtar.


From his throne, Tammuz, wearing battle dress and his crown, looks at Ishtar.  His chin rests on his right hand, his left art extended over his throne.  Beside him stands a carved figure with oversized ears and wings extending upward.  Stage right of Tammuz, a stylized tiger's head adorns the side of Tammuz's throne.
