The picture shows a rocky terrain above crashing waves with rock outcroppings.  In the lead is Marko riding his white horse Sharatz.  Sharatz is leaping across a break in the rocky terrain.  Marko wears a red cape and a dark purple tunic.  In his right hand he holds his mace up over his head.  His sword is belted at his side.

Some distance behind Marko, Bogdan is riding his mare Bedevia.  Bogdan wears a dark tunic and tan slacks.  His mace is held over his head in preparation of throwing it at Marko.  His brown mare Bedevia is raring up on her back legs.

Above them, the sky is filled with thick cumulus clouds.

In the lower left hand edge of the painting is the artist's signature: GILBERT JAMES.
