Chichen Itza, Temple of the Jaguar, Historylink101.com, Mesoamerican Picture Gallery by Eric Rymer The image is viewed from the lower right corner looking up. There is a large stone block wall. On top sits a stone cube with stairs and an opening in front with large stone pillars on either side. Faint patterns can be seen inscribed in the stone. The pillars are flanked by two crouching animals, presumable jaguar. At the top of each pillar and extending outward are what appear to be two square stylized faces.
